Slight culinary fiasco in that the gas which was picked up in Tuktoyaktuk is not working so they are rationing cooker use and cups of tea!
The ice conditions beyond Cambridge Bay are not looking promising.
Dodo's Delight stopped in the optimistically named Summer Harbour on Saturday night. Cambridge Bay is 380 miles away with clear seas for now and that is their next point of call.

Even better progress and making up some time now it appears. Not good about the gas - I'm no expert in the cold but I know you do need calories, so make sure the meals are still coming!

Very pleased to follow your adventure blogs. Doesn't sound half as exciting as sitting in our sun drenched garden with the Sunday papers ! Well done you.

The blog is becoming daily reading now, and the intermiitent reports give an idea of the remoteness, but as reported you have KFC to look forward to! You've got a bit of history coming up in Cambridge Bay, Amundsen's ship Maud is beached there if it hasn't sunk in the meantime or been removed back to Norway. He took 6 years over the NW passage. God speed!
